window-frosting

What are the benefits of wall graphics and window frosting in the office environment? There are lots of great benefits to having a well-designed office space that opens up the mind and allows inspiration to flow. Keeping your employees motivated, inspired and content can be hard at the best of times but, if your environment can work with you, it can keep motivation and productivity at its peak.

Wall Graphics

To give an example, let’s start with wall graphics in a boardroom with no windows. Boring and drab springs to mind and tends to make some people snooze through a sales meeting.
Now imagine that same room overlooking the skyline of New York, Hong Kong, Dublin or even a tropical rainforest in a high-resolution image that makes you feel like you are actually in the forest. You can almost smell the damp air of the rainforest.

Window Frosting

The modern office trends of the last few years tend to favour open space; light, fresh, and airy. With the use of lots of glass walls and doors on boardrooms, meeting room, individual offices and even canteens.

There is still a need for some form of privacy whilst still maintaining the amount of light that spreads through the office space. This is where window frosting or window manifestations come in. The days of having the glass etched and blasted are no more as it is permanent and too costly. Window frosting is much more cost-effective and looks the same as the permanent frosted glass. The material is an of a very high standard and it can be removed and redone if necessary. It can also be printed with any image or pattern and can be cut to almost any shape.

Wall Graphics

Inksplash were recently commissioned to print and install the interior wall graphics for the exciting new North Face retail store located in the prestigious Kildare Village Outlet Shopping Centre.

After a recommendation from a regular Inksplash customer to the guys in charge of the shop refit, a late Friday afternoon phone call set the wheels in motion for what was to be quite a challenging but rewarding few day. The store was set to open in just a few days time and, with the store being nothing more than a building site at the time, it was hard to imagine how this was all going to be achieved, but, as usual, we embrace every challenge!

Saturday morning saw two of the Inksplash team meet with the builders at Kildare Village to discuss the project, take drawings and measurements for all surfaces requiring graphics, then head back to Inksplash headquarters to start planning how this could be done.

Graphics

There were a large amount of various wall graphics required, from small paragraphs of plotted text for the changing rooms to full ceiling-to-floor vinyl images for the main store internal walls and lightbox decals.

Printing, plotting, laminating and trimming began first thing Monday morning, in-house at our Carrickmines production facility, with every member of the team proving to be a valuable asset under pressure, everyone had a job to do and it was done fast and done well.

Installation

Tuesday morning saw the Inksplash installation team out bright and early to begin what seemed like an impossible task, but, we are proud to say, the project was completed on time and on budget with the highest standards required and met along with an extremely challenging deadline. The Inksplash team duly delivered on all counts.
